"Love Motel" for dogs

In Sao Paolo, Brazil, they've opened a 'love motel' for dogs. For a fee, dogs can get an hour in a love motel, complete with a dog bone headboard for the bed and thick curtains for shy dogs. Love motels for humans are popular in Brazil, where couples can go for an hour or so. But for dogs? What a weird idea.

And it's caught on.

In Germany, a man is opening his own love motel for dogs. For $45 per half hour, dogs have access to private rooms and a bar. What are they going to do in the bar, sniff each others' butts or drink from toilet-shaped bar glasses?

Dr Phil's Diet Pills Don't Work

Have you heard about the Dr Phil's diet pills debacle? Evidently he has to pay out 10.5 million dollars in a class action lawsuit because the pills he endorsed don't work. But don't get too excited. Read this :


"Zaftig pill poppers can opt to either take a onetime cash settlement of a whopping $12.50 or receive a bottle of Nutrilite vitamins as replacements for the Shape Up! products.


The settlement will be paid for entirely by Shape Up!'s parent company's insurance with no out-of-pocket expenses for Oprah's protege McGraw, who began endorsing, though clearly not taking, the products in mid-2003, admitted no wrongdoing in settling the suit and has previously denied allegations that he misrepresented the Shape Up! products or made false statements about their weight loss prowess in his yearlong tenure as their spokesperson."
